An anti-syphon tank is a tank which has a little tube on the inside of your tank, the tube angles towards the top of your tank so it can get only gas C02 and not the liquid c02 on the bottom. You don't want liquid c02 because it makes you marker less consiatant(less accurate) and with an electronic marker it can damage the insides. What I meant by if you are brave was that even with an anti-syphon tank there is still the posibility of getting some liquid c02 in you marker and damaging the internals. It's not going to explode. Here's a diagram.

I have never used an X-7, although I have used an Ion and actually own one. Overall it's a really good marker, It's light, very upgradeable, fast and consistant. It's a really great maker. The downside is that you need HPA, because if you use C02 and any liquid C02 gets into the marker it can damage it.( you can use an anti-siphon C02 tank if you're brave though) and you'll also need a forcefed hopper. These can get expensive. As for the X-7 here are some reviews on it since I have no personal experience with one.
